If you have read any of my blogs you probably know that I am an Assistant Scout master for my sons Boy Scout Troop. Way back as we started this past summer I promised to post a picture of me in my Scout Uniform. it is about 4 months over due, but I finally have one to post. I should be back packing this weekend with my boss and our sons on the AT, but Doug's Son sprained his ankle, so I have time to play with the computer .. I picked up a new all in one printer/scanner/fax/copier/coffee maker and had to try it out on something, and I just happened to have this photo of my son and I from our week at Camp Ockanickin in PA this past July.
Not the highest quality of a photo, but heck, it is just a scan of a photo I got when at camp!
There were a few of you that asked to laugh at me see me in a scout uniform...
Have a great weekend

You asked for it!
Hello Rob. . . Thank you for your interesting post. In times like these, we need to be involved in orther civic activities andtake every advantage possible, right? Keep up the good work

I think they were picturing the uniform as shorts...and just wanted to see those legs, hahaha! Nice pic Rob :)
Hi Rob, Very Nice Photo!! Your son has a beautiful smile! :)
I'm with Kara - where's the legs shot???
The question of the day is - can your new printer/scanner/fax/copier/coffee maker pour the milk from the square top cartons without spilling???
I was wearing Shorts!
Gotta love a man (and a man's son) in a uniform! I think it's so great that Dads take the time to be involved with their sons.
Robert I think it is wonderful you volunteer your time with such a worthy organization as the Boy Scouts. My son has been a scout for two years now and I could not be prouder of the influence and education the scout master's have taught him. Thanks again for volunteering your time it really makes a difference in our young men's lives.
Rob, Kara and Lisa would like to see some skin! I don't think Susan would mind it much either :)
Funny how an innocent picture of a man and his son at boy scout camp can change turns :)
What dashing young men!
Ladies, calm down. There is a child in the room! But I'm leaving now, so have at it!
All in good natured fun :) Rob will just have to post the pin up photos in a separate post :)
Lisa, Susan, Kara... NO COMMENT!!!
Hope, As frustrating as it can be at times, it is rewarding to see some of the boys grow... Scouting does help build independence in the boys.
HI MIRELA!
Rob, I felt the same sense of 'reward' in coaching Little League for a few seasons. You really make a difference in the kids lives, they look up to you and will always remember you. I still remember all of my coaches fondly after all of these years. With all the time you share with the boys on your trips and weekends away, I am sure that all of these kids will look back with memories of you when they are all grown - and that is pretty cool.
Sometimes something that you don't even think about like a simple comment can stick with someone forever and really make a difference in their life. You never know what it will be that they will remember and sometimes it can be the smallest thing to you, yet the most significant thing to them.
Again, a very nice photo - you should frame it and give it to your son :)
sooooo - where is the rest of the picture?
That WAS the ENTIRE PHOTO!!!
The Rob Rauf Fan Club wants more!
